Ross and Rachael, the very lovable characters of the famous series "Friends". Always the ones who would mess things up for themselves. Too confused about their feelings towards each other. Although they loved each other, they would try and find different partners all the time. No wonder it never worked well ! Sounds like perfect drama. Made all the viewers sigh at their being.
Their character was so very well carved in the serial, and it was so much in contradiction with characters of Chandler and Monica. If one pair was very sure about being a perfect couple together, the other one was at the extreme end of "belief". One of the best things about this whole series was how these characters were portrayed. Of all these friends, if one pair was madly in love and completely confident of their being together, the other one was not at all sure, though still in love. And then the carefree characters of Joey and Phoeby. All these characters were deliberately made realistic enough, so that all the viewers could relate to some or other character ...
Finally, in the last episode, Ross and Rachael came together, as they shed all the confusions and accepted the true feelings. It was almost as melodramatic as any bollywood movie. And as happens in any bollywood movie, they had a perfect ending. But that was reel life ... Not sure if it works out the same in "real" life ....Does it?
PS : The reason I write this blog today is that I saw the last episode of Friends today for the first time ....
